SunBlocked Tint Co began in April of 2006 as SunBlocked Window Tinting in Portsmouth, VA. Founded by Micah Barnes, our team is passionate about providing quality services. From the very beginning, we have focused on delivering precise applications and using only the highest quality window films available in the industry. Our dedication to excellence quickly earned us a devoted customer base, and we are grateful for the loyalty and feedback that have helped shape our growth.

In September of 2024, thanks to the continued support of our customers, we moved into a larger location in Northern Suffolk, VA. Our new home is the historic Bennet's Creek Area Rescue Squad building, and we are committed to preserving its legacy while continuing to connect with and serve our neighbors.

We believe in giving back and staying engaged with the community. Over the years, we have partnered with local organizations and participated in community events to help connect and serve our community. Your support inspires us every day, and we look forward to welcoming you to SunBlocked Tint Co.

About the Owner

Micah Barnes founded SunBlocked Tint in 2006, and he’s been hands-on with the business ever since. His passion for creating a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere is deeply inspired by his wife and two children. But what truly defines Micah is his unwavering faith and his relationship with God. His commitment to honesty, hard work, and excellence flows from his strong belief that everything he does is for a greater purpose.

Micah is grateful to God for the opportunity to serve in business and to make a positive impact. He believes in working with integrity and heart, guided by the principles found in Colossians 3:23-24: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."

For Micah, every step of this journey is a blessing, and he’s thankful for the opportunity to share that faith with his customers, team, and community.
